Donbaze: Good day marvy. Thank you for taking time to do this interview with us at Donbaze.com. At Donbaze, we believe in promoting the best of Nigerian talents and to keep their gist continuously in the minds of fans. So this interview will aim to inform fans more about you as an artist and what you are up to nowadays.
Donbaze: Tell us about yourself, where you are from and how your music career started.
Marvy J : My names are marvellous otoi okai but popularly called Marvy jay I am from Edo State. I started my music career @ the age of 14 with my first track featuring richy Spencer titled apple of my eye
Donbaze: What are your goals for the future?
Marvy J : Wow!! If I start to mention my goals for the future I tell u Messi goals nor reach. Lol. Well I just wanna achieve my dreams reach out to my blessed fans and give them the best.
Donbaze: So wait, are you single or dating? If dating, is your boo a celebrity? If yes or no, can youreview him?
Marvy J : (laughing) This question is very funny. Well I am not single I am dating my music nd we are getting married soon lol.
Donbaze: Then Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Marvy J : Hmm in the next 5yrs I see myself living the dream.
Donbaze: Which artists or producers are you currently working with?
Marvy J : I am working with opzy toh gba trophy one of the best Yoruba rapper I have met so far. I am
also working with tobsloudit a very good and hard working producer
Donbaze: Which record label are you signed to, and how did u sign in?
Marvy J : I am currently signed under BLAZING STARS ENTERTAINMENT (BSE). Met with the label
through a friend.
Donbaze: When should we be expecting your album?
Marvy J : Album loading…… just get prepared
Donbaze: How are you managing both your music career and academics?
Marvy J : Hmmm handling both music and academics are not easy, but if you ask me which do I prefare I
would say music. To me music is Life, but by the grace of God we are progressing in both.
Donbaze: Any piece of advice for upcoming artists, especially those of your age group?
Marvy J : The truth of it all is that you must be criticized by people because of your age group but don’t
let that bring you down rather it should make u aim higher and the sky would be your beginning
